On september 9, 2004, at about 9:30 p.M., officers responded to 6015 ne going street to the reports of a shooting in the area. Officers were flagged down by a group of people who directed them to the west exit of the backswing tavern. Officers observed the victim lying on his back with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim, kenneth ivey davis, was 31-year-old african-american male. Witnesses reported seeing mr. Davis outside the backswing tavern in the parking lot moments before the shooting. The cold case unit would like anyone with information regarding this case to contact them.
