On january 27, 1994, a resident near the 600 block of n humboldt street heard gunshots at approximately 2:30 am and found the victim, sven jansson, a 22-year-old white man deceased on the sidewalk. Sven jansson had been recently released from prison for bank robbery and was known to use drugs. He was last seen speaking with an unidentified african-american man riding a bicycle near the area where his body was found. The unidentified african-american man has been described as being 20 to 25 years old, 5 foot 8 inches tall with medium-length jheri curls.Agency
