Cause of Death

Info

On april 19, 2017 at approximately 7:52 a.M., lvmpd patrol officers were dispatched to umc trauma to investigate a report of a critically injured female. The woman had been transferred from mountain view hospital earlier in the morning. At approximately 9:30 a.M., the woman was pronounced deceased, and homicide detectives were requested due to the nature of the injuries the woman had sustained, and the people who had dropped her off at mountain view hospital did not remain to tell medical personnel how the woman was injured. The investigation initiated by the lvmpd homicide section indicated the deceased woman, later identified as 25-year-old ashley wellito, had been dropped off at the mountain view hospital emergency room entrance at approximately 6:05 a.M. By an unknown male and female. Once wellito was dropped off, the male and female left before they could be identified, and before advising medical personnel how wellito’s injuries occurred. Detectives seek to identify and interview the two people seen in the video. The man could only be described as a black male adult, who had a medium height and build, and was last seen wearing a white true religion workout suit with a new york yankee baseball cap. The woman was described as a hispanic female adult who was last seen wearing dark pants and a dark, zippered sweatshirt. The people were driving what could only be described as a black vehicle. The circumstances surrounding the death of ashley wellito, and the identity of the two people who left her at mountain view hospital, remain a mystery.
