At approximately 12:08 am, west precinct officers were dispatched to a person shot call in the 4900 block of avenue n.Officers arrived on the scene and observed the victim lying unresponsive suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.Birmingham fire and rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.The preliminary investigation suggests a person in the area heard shots and call 911. The shotspotter also registered approximately nine rounds fired in the area.
