On january 11, 2006, 21 year old bruce harrell and his friend had just left club beyond and were stopped at a traffic light located near downing and welton streets. At this time, two vehicles pulled up next to the vehicle mr. Harrell was driving. One of the occupants within the suspect's vehicle got out and started shooting at mr. Harrell's vehicle. Both mr. Harrell and his friend were struck by gunfire. Mr. Harrell attempted to drive to safety but collided with multiple vehicles before coming to a stop. Mr. Harrell and his friend were immediately taken to the hospital, but mr. Harrell died as a result of his injuries.
