On april 28, 2002, 28 year old james pappas and his companion were in the parking lot of a local business socializing with others. It was at this point that unknown suspect(s) came down an alley and began firing into james direction. Both james and his companion were struck by the gunfire. The suspect(s) then fled the scene north in the alley. James was taken to a hospital but died from the injuries sustained.
