On august 17th, 1987 members of the denver police department responded to the area of west 13th avenue and lipan street on a report of a disturbance. Two individuals were found injured. 30 year old daniel archuletta sustained the most serious injury and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. A few weeks later, daniel died as a result of the gunshot wound he suffered during the neighborhood disturbance.
