The victim and her companion were walking near east 35th avenue and clayton street, a residential neighborhood, when they noticed a vehicle approaching. As the vehicle got closer, the driver accelerated, drove over the curb line and intentionally maneuvered the vehicle in a manner to run into the couple. The victim's companion was able to avoid being hit by the vehicle; however the victim was struck and dragged under the vehicle. The victim was immediately transported to a local hospital, but unfortunately did not survive.
