On december 23, 2016, at approximately 2222 hours, officers responded to assist an officer working at sentara hospital who had just called in a walk-in gunshot wound victim. Jones was dropped off at the entrance to the hospital by two male friends driving a 2003 saturn suv. Jones was pronounced deceased upon arrival at the hospital. Witness information and additional evidence put the location of the shooting at todds lane and whealton road.Agency
