On november 20, 1977, 30 year old maria abbatiello-smith was reported missing. Six days later, her body was found within a vacant field near the 700 block of mariposa street. During the investigation, it was determined that maria was the victim of a homicide. Prior to her death, maria worked at the airman's club on the lowry air force base.
