At approximately 8:25 p.M., west precinct officers were dispatched to a shotspotter alert in the 300 block of 27th street southwest.Officers arrived on the scene when they observed the victim lying unresponsive in the roadway suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.Birmingham fire and rescue personnel arrived and pronounced the victim deceased.The preliminary investigation suggests an unknown suspect was arguing with the victim and during the argument the suspect shot the victim then fled the scene.This homicide may be connected to the malike williams homicide investigation from 2714 pearson avenue southwestAgency
