On the evening of april 9th, 1977 denver police officers responded to a call on the 2200 block of larimer street in front of the new mexico inn where they found 74 year old william casey; who had been assaulted by unknown suspects. Mr. Casey was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries from the assault but died due to complications a days later.
