On october 5, 2003, 5 p.M., james thomas was located dead inside of his residence at 115 nw 3 street # 2 in the city of hallandale beach. The investigation revealed that thomas was stabbed to death. The building manager stated that he last saw james alive on october 4, 2003, at about 8 p.M. On october 5, 2003, 5 p.M, the building manager claims he knocked on james door but received no response. Feeling that it was odd that james did not answer, he retrieved a copy of the door key and entered the apartment locating james on his bed covered in blood. A large knife was also located near james' body.
