On november 16, 2005, at 10:35 p.M., officers responded to 8205 se rhine street (carl’s jr.), on the report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers were directed to the lobby of carl’s jr., where the victim of the shooting was located. The victim, jonny phommachan, a 16-year-old asian male, died from an apparent gunshot wound. Witnesses believed that mr. Phommachan got into an argument with three african-american males. Witnesses claimed that one of those males pulled out a revolver and fired it, fatally wounding mr. Phommachan. The suspects then fled the area in unknown directions. The cold case unit would like anyone with information regarding this case to call them.
