On sunday, june 8, 2003 at approximately 6:52 pm, the body of jay cecil thames, a 57 year old white male, was found deceased at his residence located at 1115 sw 3 ave. He had been beaten to death. The residence is a building with several apartments (a quad). The front door to the residence was found unsecured but there were no signs of forced entry. The victim was known to allow homeless people into his residence. The victim was last seen alive on 06-07-02 downtown by a gpd detective.
