On august 8, 1962 octavio "Chico" martinez, age 32 and ann emily bergman, age 18 had been at the town lounge, 600 west state street and had won a dance contest. They left at approximately 12:55 a.M. And were walking to their car when they were picked up by an unknown suspect or suspects. Octavio martinez was found shot to death on beltline road near rockford airport about two hours later. Ann bergman's body was found six days later, also shot to death, in ogle county.Agency
