At approximately 9:35 am, east precinct officers were dispatch to the 4300 block of 44th avenue north on report of a person shot.Officers arrived on the scene and observed the victim on a porch suffering from an apparent gunshot woundbirmingham fire and rescue personnel arrived on the scene and transported the victim to uab hospital with life-threatening injuries.Uab hospital staff pronounced the victim deceased.The preliminary investigation suggests the victim was involved in an altercation with a separate male. The suspect fired shots at the victim, then fled the scene.Agency
