On december 22, 1992, at approximately 3:29 a.M., officers responded to the total gas station on the report of a robbery where both clerks had been shot. Officers arrived as the clerks were being prepared for transport to university hospital. The victim when asked what happened, related he observed a customer fighting with the other clerk and ran over to help. At this point, the suspect shot him in the chest. The victim described the suspect as being a black male with a handkerchief over his face. The victim was taken into surgery and subsequently perished from the gunshot wound. The other clerk related he had been behind the counter when he observed a black male enter the store. The black male filled a soft drink cup from the fountain and carried it to the north entrance of the counter area, set it down and produced a gun from his right coat pocket. He then stepped behind the counter. The clerk and suspect subsequently became involved in a physical altercation upon which david walker ran over to assist him. The suspect shot david walker and fled on foot through the front doors of the business. Anyone with information regarding this case, is asked to please contact the aurora police department.Agency
