On halloween morning 1980, an intruder broke into 92 year old jessie yale's residence, near the intersection of 6th avenue and fairfax street. Once inside the hilltop neighborhood home, the suspect stabbed jessie yale to death. A family member who also lived in the home confronted the suspect and was injured while attempting to intervene. The suspect fled immediately thereafter. To this date, the identity of the suspect(s) remains unknown.
