On february 26, 1970 after a basketball game at goddard middle school, marilee burt began walking towards her house in columbine valley. Several witnesses saw marilee walk through berry drive, bowles avenue and middlefield road; however, she never made it home. Marilee was last seen talking to someone in a vehicle that stopped on south middlefield road. A jefferson county road crew discovered marilee's nude body in deer creek canyon. It was determined that marilee had been strangled and raped. Anyone with information regarding this case, is asked to please contact the arapahoe county sheriff's department.Agency
