Type: Assault
Date: 12/14/2025 2:00 AM
Description: On 12/14/25 at approximately 0200 hours, the Pier Parking Lot, located at 502 1st Street North, was temporarily cleared of all non-essential individuals to ensure officer and civilian safety. Officers observed a disturbance involving individuals consuming alcohol inside a vehicle while revving the engine in the public parking lot. As officers addressed the situation, two individuals became aggressively violent toward officers. While those individuals were being secured in police vehicles, a third individual attempted to interfere with law enforcement operations, disregarding multiple lawful commands to step away from officers. The individual was subsequently arrested under the HALO Law (Interference with a First Responder on Duty). Once all involved parties were secured and the scene was deemed safe, the parking lot was reopened. Due to the professionalism and training of the officers involved, no other individuals were injured during the incident.
