On november 16, 2002 stephen hughes confronted a suspect breaking into his vehicle at 306 109th st, the pioneer restaurant. The suspect jumped into a van and tried to flee. Hughes jumped onto the van and tried to stop the suspect. Hughes fell from the moving vehicle and sustained head injuries causing his death. It was later determined that hughes died from blunt force trauma.Agency
