Cold case spotlight on november 16, 2007 around 3:30am, crandall "Jack" reed sat in his taxi cab in the parking lot of the boy scouts of america building on edgewood ave in jacksonville, fl when an unidentified car pulled up and tried to block him in. As reed attempted to escape by driving behind the building a suspect jumped out of the unknown car and began shooting. The victim was able to drive himself to convenience store a few blocks away where police found him and started cpr. Crandell "Jack" reed died at the hospital a short time later. Detectives have never made an arrest or publicly named a suspect.
