John dubeck was employed as a shift manager at the westward ho casino, located at 2900 s. Las vegas blvd. He had recently testified in a case involving an illegal gambling conspiracy in california, which implicated high-profile individuals, including reputed los angeles crime boss peter john milano. Despite john’s murder, all defendants in the case, including john j. Vaccaro, attorney martin callaway, luigi gelfuso, and tony endreola, were ultimately convicted.
