On march 28, 1993, 31-year-old javier gomez got in a dispute with four mexican males at his rooming house known as the “eloise hilton,” located at 208 snively avenue in the eloise area of winter haven. Gomez was armed with a 9mm handgun, which jammed during the dispute. At least two other weapons were fired at gomez. This incident is possibly gang related.
