On may 10th 2015, at approximately 3:44 a.M., lvmpd call center received a 9-1-1 call from a person reporting guns shots heard in the 4800 block of cleopatra ave. Patrol officers and medical personnel responded and discovered a female later identified epri cain age 31, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Cain was transported to umc trauma center where she was later pronounced deceased. Cain and another family member were inside their apartment when there was a knock at the door. When cain opened the door the suspect immediately fired shots into the apartment striking cain. Witnesses observed an unknown african american male with short hair wearing a white tee shirt and tan shorts leaving the area after the gunshots were heard.Agency
