On august 24th, 1975, 19 year old rebecca bell went to spend the night at a family member's home. The following day rebecca was unaccounted for and a missing persons report was filed with the denver police department. On august 26th, 1975 construction workers discovered the body of rebecca bell in the south platte river near the 15th street bridge. An autopsy determined that rebecca's death was the result of drowning. Due to the suspicious circumstances surrounding rebecca's disappearance and other injuries that rebecca bell sustained, this case was investigated as a homicide.
