On nov. 8, 2001, 14-year-old jennifer medernach's nude body, bearing multiple stab wounds, was found face down in the shallow water of long branch creek at a small bridge in northwestern clay county along county road 217. She had disappeared 4 days earlier after telling her mother she was going to a convenience store with a friend. Detectives believe medernach was killed in duval county. The jacksonville sheriff's office has been working with clay detectives on the case. Anyone with information about this case, the identity, or location of the suspect(s) is asked to contact the clay county sheriff's office at 904-264-6512.
