Johntavious swift got off a school bus in the area of 36th and forest lawn avenue wednesday, september 24, 2014 to walk home after school. A vehicle drove up and a suspect got out of the vehicle and fired several shots at johntavious. At 3:28 p.M., omaha police officers were dispatched to the area regarding a shooting. Officers locate johntavious in the area suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics on scene transport johntavious to a local hospital with cpr in progress. Johntavious later died from his injuries.
