On may 18, 2006, officers responded to the 11200 block of east dartmouth avenue on a report of a shooting. The victim, phillipe toliver was in the parking lot of this location with a friend to meet with some people. Upon arrival, officers found phillipe dead in the front passenger seat of a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The victim's friend was suffering from several gunshot wounds and was taken to the hospital.
