Pearl ashworth and her mother, avis king (age 77 at time of death), were found stabbed to death in their apartment at 1376 pearl street. Avis was completely blind and her daughter, pearl, was nearly blind. Avis king died at the scene as a result of her injuries. Pearl ashworth was taken to the hospital where she died two days later on 4/16/80.
