At approximately 7:00 p.M., officers from east precinct observed a pick up truck traveling on the wrong side of the road in the 9100 block of parkway east. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop and the suspect stopped at tienda y taqueria mexican restaurant in the 8500 block of 1st avenue north. The suspect exited the vehicle and fled inside the restaurant. Officers pursued the suspect into the restaurant. The suspect began to throw glass bottles at the officers. The officers responded by deploying their conducted electrical weapons (tasers) at the suspect. A physical altercations ensued and the suspect gained control of one of the officer’s tasers.
