On december 23, 1981, 37-year-old vincent bartley was shot to death with a small caliber handgun outside the sunset beer garden, located at 140 ave y ne in winter haven. Bartley had just shot someone else at the bar. After being shot, bartley was placed inside a vehicle and driven to bob’s billiards at the intersection of 1st street ne and avenue p ne in winter haven, where the car was abandoned with his body inside.
