Description: The Complainant Stated He Received An Email, From What Appeared To Be Paypal, Stating That There Was Fraud On His Account. The Complainant Called The Number That Was Listed On The Email And Spoke To A Subject. The Subject Claimed They Were Refunding Him The Money He Had Supposedly Lost, But They Overpaid. The Subject Asked The Complainant To Go Purchase Gift Cards And Provide Him With The Card Numbers To Pay The Money Back. The Complainant Followed The Instructions And Drove Around The Northbrook Area Purchasing Gift Cards. The Complainant Finally Realized He Was Scammed, And He Had Provided The Subject With $2,500.00 Worth Of Gift Cards.
