On the evening of march 19, 1981, 24 year old stephen marquez was working as a cashier at eddie's cut rate liquor store, which was located near the intersection of 23rd and stout street, when an unknown suspect entered the store and demanded money. During the course of the robbery, stephen was shot. He was immediately transported to a local hospital, but died as a result of his injuries.
