On october 22, 1996, there was a series of gunshots in the hazelwood ter. Neighborhood. Responding officers found, 51 year old, frank phillips lying in the driveway of 148 hazelwood terr. He had been shot multiple times and was deceased. A number of people living in the neighborhood reported seeing a dark colored suv leaving the area after the shooting. Mr. Phillips was described as being a mechanic that worked nearby. It is believed that he was walking home from his job when he was murdered.
