On october 28, 1978, officers were called to the area of east 33rd avenue and downing street on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located 26 year old richard louis mcdougle in the parking lot across the street from a drinking establishment called other side of the road bar. Mr. Mcdougle was immediately transported from the scene to a local hospital but died from the gunshot wound he sustained. The suspect(s) responsible for this murder remain unknown.
