On the evening of november 2, 1983, on the 1100 block of logan street, the denver fire department responded to the santa rita apartment complex on a report of a structure fire. Most of the tenants were successfully evacuated before the building was engulfed in flames. However, after the fire was extinguished, two residents of a second floor apartment were found deceased. The victims were identified as 24 year old kevin landon and his spouse, lori ann seipp. The arson deaths of mr. Landon and mrs. Seipp were investigated as homicides.
