On July 19, 1988, the Cranston Police discovered an abandoned motor vehicle in the breakdown lane on Route 10 South near Spectacle Pond. Officers checked the wooded area around the pond after finding blood in the vehicle. The victim’s body was found floating approximately 8’ off shore.
