Shortly after midnight on september 27, 1994, a vehicle drove through the neighborhood located just to the west of city park municipal golf course, near the 2500 block of race street. Occupants within this vehicle shouted in the direction of glenn taylor who happened to be standing outside with a group of friends. Multiple shots were then fired by the unknown occupant(s) of the vehicle. 16 year old glenn taylor was struck by the gunfire. Glenn taylor was immediately transported to a local hospital, but did not survive. The suspect(s) responsible for the shooting death of glenn taylor have yet to be identified.
