On december 24, 1992, jet skiers found the partial remains of an unidentified female in the indian river lagoon near grant. The victim was identified in 2011 by dna as 87-year-old bertha parker. Ms. Parker's son was indicted and pleaded guilty to collecting her social security checks for 20 years nut has not been charged in her death.
