Officer michael lee edwards was last seen alive at the los police academy on may 10, 1974, at approximately 2230 hours. Officer edwards was off-duty and drove from the academy in his own vehicle. On may 11, 1974, at 0900 hours, the body of officer edwards was discovered in a fire damaged one story vacant triplex in the 100 block of west 89th street, los angeles.
