Info
On june 3, 2018 at 1:01 a.M., lvmpd patrol officers were dispatched to the intersection of spring blush drive and novelty avenue in the southwest valley to investigate reports of a shooting with two people hit. Arriving officers located an adult male and a 17-year-old male juvenile suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to umc trauma where the adult was later pronounced deceased. Lvmpd homicide detectives learned there had been a house party at a residence located in the 6100 block of novelty drive and police had been called earlier in the evening to disperse the partygoers. The victims had arrived with several other people in the area, and as they started to walk towards the house, they were told by two other men who were getting into an suv that police had shut the party down. The group continued to talk with the two men who indicated they might know where another party may be going on. As the group was standing on the corner talking, a black sedan drove by and did a u-turn at the end of the street. As the car passed back by the group, an unknown person fired multiple rounds into the group, striking both of the victims, and the car then left the area. Multiple people were near the intersection when the incident occurred and many fled when the shots were fired. Some were gone before police arrived.Agency
