On march 23, 2000, the victim was discovered in a field by a witness who was walking his dog. The victim possessed a counterfeit resident alien card in the name of jose angel vidales-martinez. However, the actual number belonged to a hispanic female, twenty years older than the victim. The victim may have been involved in narcotics trafficking as well as human smuggling from mexico. No weapons or ammunition was located. The victim appears to have been shot with a high powered rifle.
