On september 13, 2020, the major crimes unit responded to 357 bernard st to for a shooting. 32-year old jermaine shelton was sitting in a vehicle when a suspect approached him on foot and fired multiple gunshots into the vehicle at him. Shelton was struck in the body and later pronounced dead at the hospital.
