On march 2, 2000, at about 8:30 p.M., officers responded to the area of ne rodney avenue and ne failing street, to the report of shots fired. Upon arriving they found the victim, henry jay johnson, a 21-year-old african-american male, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. According to witness reports they saw an african-american male, who was in his twenties, leaving the scene of the shooting headed westbound toward unthank park. The suspect was described as being 5’8”, with a medium build, wearing a blue or black puffy coat with the hood up, dark pants with tennis shoes that had red shoe laces.
