Shortly after midnight on june 9th, 1981 20 year old michael badley was passing through the parking lot of the white spot restaurant, which was located near the intersection of east colfax avenue and pearl street, when he observed a physical altercation between two adult males taking place. Michael badley was subsequently attacked by one of the adult males and in the process stabbed. Michael was immediately transported to a local hospital, but died as a result of the injuries he sustained.
