Info

On friday, december 15, 1961, at about 6:30 pm, john was working as the lone service station attendant at clark's esso service station on state route 104 in the town of ontario, wayne county, ny. John's body was discovered on friday, december 15, 1961, at 7:00 pm, by the station owner. For more than four decades, police have been attempting to identify a customer who may have seen or known the perpetrator. The customer was described in 1961 as a white male, 35 - 40 years old, 5' 10" to 6' tall, weighing about 175 lbs., thin face, white shirt, no tie or coat, dark lightweight trousers, dark fedora hat, black gloves. He was operating a dark colored 1957 or 1959 automobile, possibly a plymouth, with rear fenders having a vertical up-sweep or fins, and carrying a rear registration plate having a dark green background with white numerals and writing under the numbers, but no "Tab". This could be an ohio plate. This car may have received an oil change and lube while at this station, while the perpetrator was present.
