On october 29, 1983 richard root's body was found in the river near potter's park. Richard's hands and feet were bound. He had been reported missing 10 days earlier from charlotte, mi. Richard “dick” root was the owner/manager of the eaton county credit bureau, in charlotte, mi. Mr. Root had previously worked at other credit bureaus in other michigan cities. He enjoyed business dinners with colleagues at various local social clubs. Richard had three children and was married at the time of his death.Agency
