At approximately 8:55 pm, north precinct officers were dispatched to the 700 block of 6th avenue west on report of multiple shot spotter alerts. Officers arrived on the scene and observed an audi suv parked alongside the roadway with a door open. Officers approached the vehicle and observed the driver of the vehicle unresponsive suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Birmingham fire and rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. The preliminary investigation suggests the vehicle was reported stolen (shelby county). Multiple rounds were fired upwards of 50-60, some from fully automatic weapons
